I was expecting some work on the visa front early this year but it went smoothly.. all the best with that! Studying in the north gave me the benefit of expressing myself in hindi too. yeah...during childhood one looked forward to both republic and independence day for the events organized and televised. Vande mataram need not be imposed...despite that, I'm sure many will continue to celebrate that song and what it stood for. A R Rahman did a good job reviving it...especially the classical version - http://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=vande+mataram+classical&form=QBVR&qs=n# Whether politicians celebrate or not, public celebration will set the tempo for the future as politicians will then want to share the platform for their publicity.
