Peaceful mind

One of my very good friends recent blog really made me to think.
The first thing which stroke my mind is why have wemade our lifes so complicated?
In every aspect.  And every sence.
There is much to life than following the simple rules.
It sure sounds ok not to interfere in others business unless asked.
Who knows how the world would have been....?....
If the likes of Mahatma Gandhi, Martin Luthar King, Abraham Lincon had not interfered....
If the likes Gautam Buddha, Swami Vivekananda had ignored the feeling of interfering in common men's struggle for existance....
If Lord Krishna had choosen to distance himself from interfering in the clash between step brothers...
So, its advisable to interfere in any situation if it serves a larger purpose.

There is no rule that jealousy can be only distructive..
And every healthy jealousy leads to a better result.
Take for instance in sports.
A sports person can achieve bette,r if he/she feels jealous of others achievements..
Lets say no to destructive jealousy and welcome compitatie healthy jealosuy.

Recognition is some thing which runs away if some one carves for it.
Every single person on this earth has his/her own value and reason for being here.
The key is to understand the self's potential and be dedicated to it.
Recognition comes searching:

Be a Roman while in Rome i the most dangerous saying of all.
Every person is unique and this kills the uniqueness of every person.
And I strongly support who ever wants to preserve this uniquness.

And Lastly, there is a difference between biting more than we can chew and aiming for things we really want.
I say dont ever raise your hand to touch the sky...
But,
if you ever rise it, dont let it down until and unless you can touch it.

Lets Live our life fruitfully. Some hurdles may try to stop us. Lets not give ourselves up to things who others think best suited for us.

lessons we forget

A very common but most lethal mistake any person can do in life is to have over confidance.
Seldom, this over confidance on some one leads to grave misunderstandings and it might prove fatal at times.
Its not fun to dig own grave.

Human mind and happy moments.

‘Why can’t we remember only the happier moments and forget all our sad memories?’ Light bulb

Princess had asked in her blog a few days ago. It surely made me to think ‘yes, why cant us?’ Once the thought came to my mind, I wanted to implement it.

To begin with, I tried to remember and, make a list of the happier moments of my life. And lo, I was stuck before I can begin. It was just impossible for me to decide which was my happiest moment? And on which scale I have to rate it? As time passed, it became increasingly difficult to recall the moments which bought smile on my face!!

Human mind has a most amazing quality. It can store each and every minute detail it has come in contact with. The best part is all information is ‘hidden’ and, utilized as and when they are required. Science has its own definition for this behavior of mind. As a common man what I noticed is that the mind has stored all the details in a series in our own best interest. Even if some one wants, it can not be erased. Thinking

I was extremely disappointed when I could not make it to the course which I wanted to do. My 'cast' over powered my 'marks'.Angry Now If I think of the disappointment I felt at that time, it does not hurt much. It is over shadowed by my success in the IT field.Wink Every bitter moments of my life is over shadowed by one or the other event which can put the smile back on my face.

Our mind always stores the bitter experiences of our life. By dong so it actually is ensuring that we enjoy even the smallest happy moment in our lives. If it carries only happy memories, very soon we all forget how to SMILE! Smile

Senior citizens are our responsibility

A recent mail of one of my friend made me to gather information about the medical woos of our senior citizens.

On every instance we boast of our traditional values and culture. We are not tired in proclaiming ourselves as one of the oldest and an almost perfect civilization. We take extreme pride in repeating the Sanskrit quote which equates mothers and fathers to God.
But the question is, are we really following the culture we boast of?

The answer is as simple as a ‘NO’.

Senior citizens are the most neglected section of our recent society. At their young age every senior citizen had contributed his/her bit towards the nation and their respective families. How ever small and minute the contribution may be, it can not be undermined.
It’s the rain drops which makes the ocean.

Once they become old, our governments and the society tends to forget them. I have seen and heard a lot of young abandon their parents because of some silly reasons. And they always hold the generation gap as the culprit.

Even the government almost forgets (till elections) people of 60 and above. Giving a percent more interest on their bank balance or a discount on their traveling expenses does not mean that the governments have done enough.

What our senior citizens need the most is a proper and affordable medical attention. Especially in this era of micro families this has become a basic need of the senior citizens. Every now and then we come across some tragic incidents occur to our senior citizens because they don’t get the medical assistance in time. Most of their time is wasted in arranging the money which the hospitals demand in advance. The delay may end up fatal also.

Don’t ask them to go to government hospitals. 98% of these are unauthorized agents of hell. Physically and emotionally week senior citizens can not survive the atmosphere for long. These are the only place where money is extracted even from the dead.

Either you over haul the general hospitals or, compel our private hospitals to treat the senior citizens on a discounted tariff? Or, why cant the governments take a mass health insurance for the senior citizens who are financially in a bad state. A small part of the taxes collected can be utilized for this.

Health is the right of a senior citizen and fulfilling it is the duty of the society.
